Residential Fire InformationThe protection of lives and property is paramount to the Hamilton Fire Department. A response with the appropriate resources and equipment to a residential structure fire and containment of the fire will lead to a reduction in property loss and will save lives. Citizens continue to be injured or killed in fires that are clearly preventable. Educating residents on the causes of residential fires can contribute to a change in behaviours, a reduction in residential fires, associated injuries and deaths.
