Overview of the overall number of incidents attended to and handled by the Hamilton Fire Department.
Story behind the numbers
In 2017, the Hamilton Fire Department responded to over 31,000 incidents. In each case, this response provided a valued service to the public.
These numbers are generated by calls for assistance. Continued fire prevention activities and public education can contribute to a reduction in some types of responses.
