Light Rail Transit in Hamilton

As part of Metrolinx’s Moving Ontario Forward plan, the Ontario government is investing up to $1 billion and will cover 100% of the capital costs of building the LRT in Hamilton.

Enhanced transit and the LRT will help drive economic growth, reduce travel and connection times and improve quality of life in our community.

Waterfront Redevelopment

We are working to improve our waterfront by providing:

  • Clean and sustainable parks, recreation spaces, trails and amenities for residents
  • Neighbourhood planning
  • Opportunities for investment
Our Future Hamilton

Our Future Hamilton is the city's new 25-year community vision.

Conversations with nearly 55,000 residents helped to create the vision. The community vision features six priorities in these areas:

The Global Hamilton office focuses on the economic development of immigration and works with the Hamilton Immigration Partnership Council to create a welcoming community in our city.
