We've joined the challenge!
In December, Infrastructure Canada has launched a Smart Cities Challenge program. This pan-Canadian competition is open to communities of all sizes, including municipalities, regional governments and Indigenous communities (First Nations, Métis and Inuit). It encourages communities to adopt a smart cities approach to improve the lives of their residents through innovation, data and connected technology. Municipalities were asked to submit a bold and ambitious goal using a smart cities approach.
A smart cities approach aims to achieve meaningful outcomes for residents by leveraging the fundamental benefits that data and connected technology have to offer. We asked the community join us and to think big. Thank you to everyone who participated.
