Old Dundas Road Sewage Pumping Station (HC005) Emergency Overflow EA

The City of Hamilton invoked the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process for the Old Dundas Road Sewage Pumping Station (HC005) in order to determine the preferred alternative to provide an emergency overflow from the existing sanitary sewer system or pumping station to protect homes from basement flooding for rainfall and snowmelt events which exceed the 100 year storm.

A Master Plan and Class EA was completed on the pumping station in fall of 2014. Phases 1 and 2 of the MCEA process were satisfied under the 2014 Master Plan. This project requires completion of Phases 4, 5 & 6.
