In-Effect Zones

The Official Plan Amendment (Appendix A) and the Rural Zoning By-law (Appendix B) form part of the July 7, 2015 staff report

The next phase of Zoning By-law No. 05-200 is focused on the Rural Zones. The purpose of the new Rural Zones will be to implement the policies of the Rural Hamilton Official Plan and to create consistent zoning throughout the Rural area.

The staff report, official plan amendment, proposed zoning text and additional supporting documentation:

Step 1: Reference the zoning grid (PDF, 363 KB) to find out which map your property is on. The grid is broken down into 228 maps or squares. Each square represents a proposed zoning map for a certain geographic area.

Step 2: Once you have located the map number that contains your property of interest, select the range or set of maps that contains your number. This map will show the properties and the proposed zones on your property as well as surrounding properties.

Step 3:  If you want to know the uses that are permitted within your zones and any of the regulations associated with the zones, refer to the proposed draft zones found under Appendix D above.
