Tenant Safety

The safety of our tenants and communities is our top priority.

The City of Hamilton’s Vision is to be the best place to raise a child and age successfully. Hamilton is committed to being a safe and supportive city for all people regardless of their age, background, colour, religion, ability and gender identity. However, the equity, diversity and inclusion mosaic built for many generations in Hamilton also continues to be challenged by hate incidents, racism, discrimination, homophobia, and anti-Semitism. To address these challenges, it takes the entire community working together to reinforce our values, create effective policies and build our community resilience.

Tenant Safety Survey

We want to hear from you!

The Tenant Safety Survey will help us understand how we are doing with safety at our properties.

Your feedback will help us better address tenant safety and harassment/anti-discrimination complaints.

We encourage tenants to participate and share:

  • Lived experience regarding safety at CHH properties
  • Individuals from black, Indigenous, 2SLGBTQI+, racialized and faith-based communities
  • Safety issues related to gender and violence against women

Your participation is voluntary. Your answers will be anonymous and confidential.
