CityHousing Hamilton provides housing to families, seniors, couples, singles and individuals with special needs in a variety of housing forms including townhouses, apartments, single and semi-detached dwellings. Most housing is available on a rent-geared-to-income basis, however some communities offer market rent units as well.

CityHousing Hamilton is more than just bricks and mortar. In partnership with community agencies, a variety of support programs are offered to tenants and the broader community.

Resources for Tenants

CityHousing Hamilton (CHH) does not pay municipal education and property tax on most of its properties. Tenants living in tax-exempt properties cannot claim the property tax portion of the Ontario Trillium Benefit.

The Ontario Trillium Benefit is a provincial program administered by the Canada Revenue Agency. For questions related to this benefit, please visit the Canada Revenue Agency.
