Notice of Amendments to City’s Procedural By-Law

Please take notice that the Audit, Finance & Administration Committee, at its meeting on Thursday, December 5, 2019, scheduled to immediately follow the Special Audit, Finance & Administration Committee at 9:30 a.m., will consider amendments to the City of Hamilton Procedural By-law 18-270, as amended:

  • The proposed changes include but not limited to, clerical revisions and updates to the following Sections:
    • Section 1 – Definitions

    • Section 3.10 & 5.13 – Communications Items

    • Section 3.12 – Rules of Debate

    • Section 3.13 – Voting Procedures

    • Section 4.2 & 4.3 – Committee of the Whole

    • Section 5.2 – Appointment of Standing Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs

    • Section 5.5 – Standing Committee Meeting Times

    • Section 5.10 – Order of Business

    • Section 5.11 – Delegations

    • Section 5.12 – Public Hearings

    • Section 5.17 – Change to a Scheduled Committee Meeting

    • Appendices A, D and F – Amendments to various Standing Committee Mandates
