2015 One Day Rain Barrel Truckload Sale

HAMILTON, ON – April 27, 2015 –  With spring upon us, it’s time to think about how to get your garden the water it needs to flourish. Why not chose an easy option by using a rain barrel to capture rain water this spring? Hamilton’s Public Works Department is holding its annual, one-day rain barrel sale early next month to promote wise water use. By installing a rain barrel, residents are creating their own, free source of water that they can use for their gardens or even washing their cars.

The City has partnered with local vendor Rainbarrel.ca for the 7th annual truckload rain barrel sale.  Residents can choose between buying a new barrel for $39.75 or a re-purposed barrel for $39.50.

Want to purchase & pick up a rain barrel?

  • Saturday, May 9 - 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon
  • Mohawk College, Fennell Campus, southwest parking lot

Need an option to get the barrel home?

  • If pre-ordered on-line, residents can have their rain barrel delivered to their home for $9.75. All deliveries are managed by the vendor and must be within the City of Hamilton.
