‘Tis the Season: Christmas tree installations begin this morning at Dundas Memorial Square

HAMILTON, ON – The search for this year’s Christmas tree centerpieces is over! Beginning this morning, parks crews will begin placing the winning Christmas trees, starting with Memorial Square in Dundas to officially kick off the holiday season in the city.  Every year, the City asks residents to donate the perfect tree to be displayed at one of three locations across Hamilton – Gore Park, City Hall, and Memorial Square in Dundas. City begins the search for this year’s Centrepiece Christmas trees

HAMILTON, ON –The City of Hamilton is starting the hunt for trees to be part of the centrepieces for the holidays this upcoming Christmas season. The City is asking residents to consider donating the perfect tree, which must be at least 40 feet (12 metres) tall, in the front yard, accessible from the street and clear of overhead wires. The trees will be cut and transported at no cost to the owners.

On Tuesday, November 12, parks crews will place the winning Christmas tree in front of City Hall to officially kick off the holiday season in the city.  Every year, the City asks residents to donate the perfect tree to be displayed at one of three locations across Hamilton - Gore Park, City Hall, and Memorial Square in Dundas.
