HAMILTON, ON – To safely complete sanitary forcemain construction on Upper James St., the City of Hamilton will reduce Upper James St. between Twenty Rd. and Alderson Dr. to one lane in each direction beginning on Monday, March 15, 2021 for approximately four months. The work is expected to wrap up on or before July 31, 2021, weather permitting. Motorists can expect delays.

HAMILTON, ON - City of Hamilton water crews are currently responding to multiple watermain breaks this morning that are causing both low to no water pressure for the residents in the area as well as traffic restrictions in the areas of the watermain breaks. Due to the severity of the breaks, West 5th Rd between Rymal Rd W and Stone Church Rd W is fully closed to traffic. Traffic restrictions are currently in place on Jameston Ave between West 5th Rd and Upper James St as well as  Limeridge Rd W between Garth St and Bonaventure Dr.

HAMILTON, ON - As part of the Queen St S two-way conversion project, the City will close Queen St S between Charlton Ave W and the west leg of Herkimer St beginning tomorrow, August 5 to safely complete traffic signal installations. Herkimer St between Locke St S and Queen St S will also be closed for the duration of the project. The closure is expected to wrap up on or before Friday, September 11, 2020, weather permitting.

HAMILTON, ON - To safely complete culvert installations, the City of Hamilton will be closing Regional Rd 56 between Rymal Rd and Golf Club Rd for two weekends this month beginning Friday, July 10, 2020. Dates for the work are weather permitting, however at this time are planned for:

HAMILTON, ON - Beginning on Monday, June 29, 2020 the City of Hamilton will start Stage Two of the Hwy 8 reconstruction project. Hwy 8 will remain closed between Woodley Ln and Park Ave for the duration of project, wrapping up by the end of November 2020, weather permitting. Local access between Hillcrest Ave and Park Ave will be maintained. As part of the improvement project, Hwy 8 will receive the following upgrades:

HAMILTON, ON – In order to complete maintenance on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (LINC), the City of Hamilton will be conducting two maintenance weekends this month beginning Friday, June 5, 2020. The LINC will be closed, one direction at a time, for a whole weekend in each direction. The road will be closed for one weekend in the eastbound direction beginning on Friday, June 5, 2020, and one weekend in the westbound direction beginning on Friday, June 12, 2020.

HAMILTON, ON - In order to accommodate repairs to an overhead sign structure on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (LINC), the City of Hamilton will close the westbound lanes of the LINC between the Upper James exit ramp and the Garth St entrance ramp for one night beginning on Friday, May 29. The overnight closure will begin at 8 pm on Friday and wrap up at 6 am on Saturday, May 30. Motorists should detour around the closure using Stone Church Rd. The City thanks motorists for their patience and cooperation as we complete these important repairs.

HAMILTON, ON - In order for crews to replace watermain valves, the City of Hamilton will close the westbound lanes of Stone Church Rd W between Matthew St and Garth St beginning on Monday, February 3 at 9 a.m. for approximately 3 months. The project is expected to wrap up on or before Thursday, April 30, 2020. Sidewalks on both sides of the road will remain accessible to pedestrians. Motorists travelling westbound should follow designated detour routes along West 5th St or Upper James St to Rymal Rd W.

HAMILTON, ON – In order to complete bridge repairs on the Nikola Tesla Boulevard overpass, the City will close the eastbound and westbound lanes for three days, beginning Wednesday, November 27 at 9 am. All westbound lanes will be closed between Woodward Avenue and Strathearne Avenue from Wednesday, November 27 at 9 am until the evening of Friday, November 29. Following the westbound closure, all eastbound lanes will be closed between Ottawa Street North and Parkdale Avenue from Monday, December 2 at 9 am until the evening of Wednesday, December 4.
