Parks and Open Space Access Profile

This service includes the acquisition, design, development and redevelopment of parks, trails and open space, operation and maintenance of parkland, sports fields, trails, marinas, playgrounds and spray pads. This service includes:

  • General maintenance of parks, including beaches, sports fields, playgrounds, spray pads, hard surface courts and special events. This service also provides access to open space and natural areas – including open space/ trail maintenance.
  • Planning, design and development/redevelopment of parks, amenities, trails and open spaces to meet recreational and sports needs through the creation of master plans, design and construction documents, archeological assessment and preservation and park planning for land acquisition.
  • Program support in the areas of data management, health and safety, program development and coordination. Customer service inquires, educational materials and web content are also part of this service.
