Effective Thursday, September 23, 2021: Vaccine Verification

As a condition of employment you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated or provide proof of valid exemption satisfactory to the employer prior to your start date. You must acknowledge and agree to comply with any future vaccine policy requirements as an ongoing condition of employment at the City of Hamilton.

Current COVID19 Safety Precautions for Volunteers


All volunteers are required to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated.

  • Volunteers must participate in rapid antigen testing 15 minutes before the start of EACH shift. 
  • A medical mask will be provided to you at the start of your shift and must be worn at all times.
  • All volunteers will receive training about Infection Prevention and Control procedures to be followed at the Lodge.

Other Requirements for Volunteer Placement:

  • 2 Step TB test
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check (18 yrs +)
  • Personal References
  • Interview with Coordinator of Volunteers
  • Orientation

High School Co-op Education Opportunities

  • Co-op education placements are available in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
  • Great opportunities are available for high school students interested in health care and aging populations.
