Neighbourhood Hoops Program

Closures

To help slow the rate of COVID-19 infection in Hamilton, the City of Hamilton is closing all Recreation Facilities from March 14 to April 5, 2020.

Providing youth the opportunity to participate in basketball programming in their neighbourhood

The Neighbourhood Hoops Program is designed to give every single child or youth the opportunity to learn the game of basketball. Over 500 youth ages, 9 to 14 have participated in the skills-based basketball development program citywide.

Free 10 Week Skill Development Program will have children and youth learning basketball skills from certified coaches in a fun and engaging environment through a variety of games and activities. Each week players will participate in 30 minutes of skill development and 30 minutes of organized 3 on 3 games. Program participants are divided into age groups and by gender.
