Community Centre Registered Camp locations offer full day, registered, week-long traditional day camp programs.

Your children are in good hands with City of Hamilton summer program staff. Each of our camps is under the direction of a full-time staff who have a passion for developing and implementing recreation programs for children and youth in addition, each group of children will have a dedicated Counsellor who:
- is a university, college, or high school student
- is certified in standard first aid with CPR level C and is trained to administer epi-pens
- has been trained in the HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development
- has specialized training in programming, safety and emergency procedures, group dynamics, and positive behaviour management

Age appropriate programming
All of our leaders are trained in HIGH FIVE® Principles of Healthy Child Development, including how to program plan based on the ages and developmental stages of participants in their group. A variety of activities are planned each day for each group of participants - sports, active games, quiet games, cooperative games, swimming, crafts, and camper’s choice activities. In our registered programs, a variety of weekly themes ensure camp activities are different each week!
Camp Kidaca Jr Camps have achieved Accredited Status with the Ontario camp Association. Our sites are audited yearly by internal staff to OCA standards, and as well by OCA visitors. This ensures that our Jr. Camp sites are held to the highest of quality in all areas of operations, programming, safety and health, and employment. High program quality is important to us and means that your child’s summer will be a positive one. The City of Hamilton Recreation division is HIGH FIVE® accredited. All Camp Kidaca day camps meet internal day camp policy and procedure standards and are evaluated using the HIGH FIVE® Quest 2 tool.
