Cancelled High School Vaccine Clinics

Please be advised that due to the recent inclement weather St. Jean de Brébeuf high school clinic date was cancelled.  We are offering a drop in clinic at 891 Upper James on Tuesday February 26 from 9 am to 3:30 pm for students who attend that high school. Students must be at the clinic before 3:30 pm.

For all other students who have missed their high school vaccine clinics and are unable to see a family doctor,  the following drop-in clinics will be held:
Public Health Services 110 King St. W 2nd floor (Please take the elevators that are located in between The Honest Lawyer and The Works restaurants in Jackson Square).
February 27, 28 and March 1, 2019
9 am to 3:30 pm - arrive at the clinic by 3:30 pm

Please note these clinics are only for high school students that will be suspended on February 28, 2019. If your child has an up-to-date vaccine record, please ensure all vaccines have been reported to Public Health.

Students born in 2002, 2003, and 2004 who are missing mandatory school vaccines will receive a letter in the mail from Hamilton Public Health asking them to provide updated vaccine information to avoid possible suspension from school.  You can update your vaccine information with Public Health by:

An insert will be provided with this letter that offers the following high school clinics to these students.  Please note that your child will only be able to attend the clinic at their own high school.  If you do not want your child immunized at school, please fill out the opt-out form attached to the insert.  Send the completed opt-out form to Hamilton Public Health at least two days before the clinic in one of the following ways:

  • Fax: 905-546-4841
  • Phone: 905-546-2424 x7556 (to complete the form verbally with a nurse)

If we do not receive an opt-out form, high school students may provide consent for themselves and will be vaccinated at school.

We will be offering catch-up vaccines to students who require further protection from the following diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, meningitis. The student will only be vaccinated if he/she is overdue for a vaccine.
