The inaugural ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge will run from May 31-June 16, 2019. Residents will be asked to track their physical activity (including walking, cycling, swimming, housework, active play, sports, etc.) for 2 weeks through the ParticipACTION app or online at community.participaction.com. Hamilton will be competing with cities and towns across the country to be named Canada’s Most Active Community, with the winning community earning $150,000. There are also regional prizes of $20,000 to be won.
Individuals over the age of 17 will be able to track their activity minutes using the free ParticipACTION app, and children younger than 17 will be able to track their activity through the ParticipACTION website with the help of a parent, guardian, coach or educator. Classrooms, sports teams, and workplaces can also log in under one user and track their activities.
Please visit community.participaction.com to download the app today and don’t forget to track your physical activity minutes every day between May 31 and June 16 to help Hamilton be named the Most Active Community in Canada!
