COVID-19 Safety Measures

  • Limited to singles play (2 players per court at a time).
  • Masks or face coverings are required unless participating in game on court.
  • Maintain 2m or 6ft of physical distance from others outside of your household.
  • If you have any COVID-19 symptoms or are not feeling well, stay isolated at home and get tested for COVID-19.
  • Bring hand sanitizer to clean hands frequently.


Pickleball is a paddle-racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played on a small court, singles and doubles use strategy and positioning to score up to 11 points. It is a game that is entertaining for players of all ages and skill levels.

The City of Hamilton offers both indoor and outdoor Pickleball opportunities for residents at various locations.

Outdoor Pickleball

In 2021, Outdoor Pickleball Courts will be available FREE of charge for City of Hamilton residents at the following locations.

Confederation Beach Park, 105 North Service Rd, Hamilton ON
Hours: 9 am to 9 pm (7 days a week – weather permitting)
Staff will be on site to oversee the courts and monitor COVID-19 safety measures.

Reservations for Outdoor Pickleball are required

Reserve a Pickleball Court. Watch the online tutorials for assistance.
Tickets are available at 9:00am the day before play for reservation. Players with reservations are asked to arrive no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled session time or your reservation will be cancelled.
Note: Reservations are limited to City of Hamilton residents.

Indoor Pickleball

Drop in for a singles game of pickleball for 18+. All skill levels welcome. Recreational level paddles and balls are available. Prepaid admissions are non-refundable.
