Seniors' Centre without Walls

Note: Masks are required for participants in group fitness classes. Although masks are not required while actively participating in dance and sports programs, Hamilton Public Health Services strongly suggest the wearing of masks while participating in any physical activity.

The City has been working closely with the boards for various seniors centres and clubs in Hamilton to determine reopening plans and gauge interest in resuming programming. In collaboration with the City, the boards have voted on the capacity, ability and interest to return to programming.

The following boards have chosen to resume limited drop in programming this fall:

  • Dundas Senior Club
  • Sackville Senior Centre
  • Warden Senior’s Club
  • Winona Senior’s Club
  • All other boards have chosen to remain closed for the fall season, and will reconsider reopening in January 2021.

Return to Recreation for Vulnerable Populations
In general, the risk for severe illness from COVID-19 increases with age. Those above age 65 years of age, those with compromised immune systems and/or underlying medical conditions are most at risk. Knowing the facts about COVID-19 and how to prevent it can reduce the spread of infection to you and the people around you. Please visit hamilton.ca/coronavirus to learn more about prevention and precautions for older adults and individuals with weakened immune systems.

Please note: Due to current health and safety guidelines in place at all recreation centres, member information is captured at point of reservation by allowing member bookings only. To reduce inputting errors, it is recommended to copy the member number from your user profile and paste when prompted after adding items to the basket.
