You are invited to attend either in-person or virtually and provide input at this public meeting hosted by the Planning Committee, in accordance with subsection 41.1(6)(b) of the Ontario Heritage Act.

If a person does not make oral submissions at this public meeting or make written submissions to Council c/o the City Clerk at the Office of the City Clerk before the by-law to adopt this Plan is passed and then appeals, the Ontario Land Tribunal may dismiss all or part of their appeal without holding a hearing.

Purpose of the meeting
The Planning Division will be presenting a report at this meeting recommending that Council adopt the Melville-Park West Heritage Conservation District Plan in Dundas and pass a by-law designating the proposed district under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act.

- Submit a pre-recorded video with your comments.

Appeal Rights
In accordance with the provisions of subsection 41(4) of the Ontario Heritage Act, any person who objects to the by-law may appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal by giving the Tribunal and the clerk of the municipality, within 30 days after the date of publication of the public notice of the by-law being passed, a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the by-law and the reasons in support of the objection, accompanied by the fee charged by the Tribunal.
In accordance with subsection 41(8) of the Ontario Heritage Act, if a person does not make oral submissions at this public meeting or make written submissions to Council c/o the City Clerk at the Office of the City Clerk before the by-law to adopt this Plan is passed and then appeals, the Ontario Land Tribunal may dismiss all or part of their appeal without holding a hearing.

Information respecting this matter is being collected under the authority of Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18. All comments and opinions submitted to the City of Hamilton on this matter, including the name, address and contact information of persons submitting comments and/or opinions, will become part of the public record, will be made available to the general public and will appear on the City’s website unless you request that the City remove your personal information.
