Statement of Compliance
It is the contactor's responsibility to submit a statutory declaration after substantial performance, confirming that the Contractor and its Sub-Contractors complied with the Fair Wage Policy and Fair Wage Schedule.
Current Fair Wage Policy & Fair Wage Schedule - Contracts closed on / after July 14, 2026
The Fair Wage Policy and Fair Wage Schedule ensures that contractors and sub-contractors pay wages at least equal or greater than the wages set out in the Fair Wage Schedule and is applicable to all City construction contracts.

Submit a Complaint for Non-Compliance
You can submit a complaint to the City of Hamilton alleging non-compliance with the Fair Wage Policy and Fair Wage Schedule by any contractor or sub-contractor performing construction work on a City construction contract.
All complaints must be submitted in writing on the completed Fair Wage Complaint Form to the Procurement Manager no later than 21 calendar days following substantial performance of the related City Construction Contract.

Complaints investigated and resulting audits performed pursuant to the Fair Wage Policy and Fair Wage Schedule are reported to the appropriate Standing Committee of Council.
