Historical Family Search

To make a family history search request, please complete the below form. You will need the following information before making your request:

• The name of the deceased
• Name of cemetery
• Approximate date of death

Due to the increase in requests, in may take up to 4-6 weeks to receive a response. We are unable to receive requests by phone.

Not all records have been converted to an electronic format, and there may be a delay depending on the level of research required.

Hamilton Municipal Cemeteries only provides date of burial and burial location. Our records also do not always have; maiden names, birth dates, occupations, next-of-kin or children's names.

Ontario Cemetery Finding Aid - Ontario Genealogical Society files numbers that can be found online (i.e., HM-444) do not correspond to our records in any way and we cannot use them to locate an individual in one of our cemeteries.
