Smart Commute Hamilton Program is designed to work with employers across Hamilton to find practical ways for staff to cycle, walk, take transit, carpool, or telecommute instead of travelling.
Smart Commute Hamilton hosts several successful events every year.
Bike Day/Bike Month
An annual kick-off event to Bike Month and is aimed at promoting cycling as a viable option for all types of travel. Bike Day and Bike Month are celebrated across the GTHA in June. You can find bike events throughout the year on our Cycling Calendar.
Smart Commute Month
Every September, the City of Hamilton celebrates Smart Commute Month. Throughout the month, there are contests and prizes to encourage sustainable transportation options. There is also a questionnaire to help us better understand how people are currently moving in Hamilton. To participate, register for the Smart Commute Tool and start logging your trips today!
