Ontario Ombudsman
An objective office of last resort for members of the public looking to bring forward an unresolved complaint. Acting independent of City Council, the Ontario Ombudsman will receive, review and investigate complaints, provide periodic updates and produce an annual report of activities.

File a Complaint
Members of the public, as well as other members of Council, can file complaints for potential violations of:
- the Council Code of Conduct
- the Code of Conduct for Members of a Local Boards of the City of Hamilton (pending)
- Hamilton Advisory Committee/Task Force Code of Conduct
The Integrity Commissioner performs their duties on a part-time, as needed basis, and does not have a permanent office in the City of Hamilton.
