Nebo Road - Rymal Road E to Twenty Road E Urbanization

The City will begin construction along Nebo Road between Rymal Road E and Twenty Road E from Fall 2025 to Fall 2026.
The project goals are to achieve Complete Street and Vision Zero principles as per City of Hamilton Standards and enhance pedestrian and active transportation safety, mobility and connectivity.
Project Details
- 2-lane urbanized standard road with sidewalk on West side of Nebo Road
- Paved multi-use path along the East side of Nebo Road
- Sanitary sewer upgrades
- Storm sewer installation
- Watermain replacement
Start date: Fall 2025
Expected end date: Fall 2026
Subject to change and weather dependent.
Traffic Impact & Detour Plans
- During construction and closure of any parts of Nebo Road, public traffic can use east parallel road Dartnall Road as detour. A detour signage in accordance with Ontario Traffic Manual need to be set up and implemented to accommodate traffic.
- One- way traffic has to be maintained at all times at Nebo.
- Construction staging can be applied and managed by maintaining 3.0 traffic lane in each direction open to public in multiple stages.
