Pier 8 Gateway Park

Adjacent to the boardwalk and transient docks installed on Pier 8 in June 2016, the gateway park will offer waterfront residents and visitors:

• a large open area for outdoor market booths
• seating areas
• potential location for food trucks or concessions

Timeline

• Late 2018: Construction began
• Early 2017: Detailed design process for the remaining park elements began
• Early 2016: Transient dock & boardwalk elements were constructed
• 2014: Conceptual design process for the park began to align with the design for the reconstructed shoreline
