Scenic Reservoir Coating and Repairs
Hamilton Water will be performing construction work at the Scenic Reservoir, located at 300 Beddoe Drive, Hamilton. The reservoir is accessible only via the Chedoke Radial Trail.
This work is part of Hamilton Water’s ongoing maintenance and asset management program. It is being completed to ensure the continued reliability of water service and the ongoing delivery of safe drinking water in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Project Timeline
The Scenic Reservoir consists of two cells (West and East). Work will be carried out on one cell at a time during periods of low water demand (October–May) to avoid service disruptions.
- Expected Start Date: January 2026
- Expected Completion: May 2026
- Possible Extension for Second Season: October 2026 – May 2027
What to expect during construction
- There will be no impact on the safe and continuous water supply to homes and businesses during this work.
- The municipal parking lot at 1180 Scenic Drive will be closed for the duration of construction.
- Access to the Scenic Reservoir will be restricted throughout the project.
- Temporary access restrictions may occur on the Chedoke Radial Trail between Beddoe Drive and Scenic Drive during construction mobilization and demobilization.
- The trail will remain open, but during active work periods, pedestrians may be required to share access with construction vehicles, and caution is advised.
