The City is looking for high performing individuals who are interested in a challenging and fulfilling career in a long-term care setting. - Macassa Lodge is a long-term care facility with 270 beds located on the Hamilton Mountain.
- Wentworth Lodge is a long-term care facility with 160 beds located in Dundas.
Registered Practical Nurse
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides nursing care in accordance with physician orders and Standards of Nursing Practice.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing Program
- Must have practical knowledge and skills related to nursing.
- Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Personal Support Worker
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides care in accordance with the resident care plan and lodge home standards.
Qualifications
- Previous health care aide experience.
- Experience providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Completion of a Health Care Aide or Personal Support Worker Program.
Registered Nurse
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care and plan, direct, and coordinate all activities to successfully manage the unit.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Practical Nursing Program
- Demonstrated Long Term Care experience or other geriatric training.
- Knowledge of RAI-MDS.
Dietary Aide
Dietary Aides support our Lodges by providing meal service to residents. Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Possess a Food Service Worker certificate.
- Previous experience handling and serving food.
- Able to lift/carry up to 22 kgs
- Professional and courteous manner
Housekeeping Aide
Housekeeping Aides perform various duties related to the overall cleanliness and appearance of the Lodges. These may include sweeping, mopping, emptying waste containers, and reporting maintenance issues to ensure the environment is clean, safe, and inviting.
Qualifications
- Experience doing residential cleaning or relevant work/training.
- Able to lift and carry up to 15 kgs
- Knowledge of infection control best practices and procedures.

Vulnerable Sector Check
As a condition of employment, successful applicants will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to beginning work in positions at Macassa and Wentworth Lodges.
