Market and Land Supply Monitoring Report

The Market and Land Supply Monitoring Report is an annual report prepared by the Planning Division which includes data tracking the City’s progression towards applicable local and provincial targets with respect to population and housing growth, construction and development approval activity, land supply, and cost of housing and affordability. Subsequent reports will also include data respecting employment growth and employment land absorption. 

The report represents a snapshot in time and provides a consistent and accessible platform with annual data to be used as a tool for future decision making based on historical or annual patterns.

The 2023 Market and Land Supply Monitoring report was the first annual report in response to Council’s direction to monitor and report annually on these metrics. The first report included trends from the past decade whereas the subsequent reports will highlight trends over recent years.
