Active travel is when you use your own body to get around. It includes walking, wheeling, and rolling (e.g., biking, skateboarding). Sustainable travel is when you use earth-friendly ways to travel. It includes taking the school bus or using public transit.
Active and Sustainable School Travel (ASST) matters because it
- helps the planet.
- boosts your body and brain.
- helps you learn.
- makes school zones safer.
- builds school spirit.
Active and Sustainable School Travel is about helping more students choose safe, healthy, and earth-friendly ways to get to and from school. Learn more about Active and Sustainable School Travel.
