Donations welcome for Northern Communities impacted by wildfire
The City of Hamilton’s Indigenous Relations team and Hamilton Fire Department, working in partnership with the Hamilton Regional Indian Centre and the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto, are coordinating a donation drive for First Nations communities in Northern Ontario affected by the wildfires.
Residents and members of the public are welcome to drop off donations at any of the participating fire stations from Wednesday, July 22 to Wednesday, July 29, until 5 pm. Donations may also be dropped off at the Hamilton Regional Indian Centre at 34 Ottawa Street North.

Only the items noted above will be collected. For the health, safety and dignity of recipients, only new, unopened and unexpired items will be accepted.
Participating Fire Stations and the designated drop-off times
All donations collected will be safely stored, gathered and transported to the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto for coordination and delivery to evacuees being supported in receiving communities.
