Open House for Solid Waste Management Master Plan

The 2025 Solid Waste Management Master Plan (SWMMP) will address future challenges and opportunities to maintain a sustainable waste management system. The plan aims to balance the needs and priorities of residents, learn from the successful strategies of other cities, and incorporate practical and innovative ideas from City staff. 

Phase 1 Engagement will focus on:

• Gathering input on the new vision for the 2025 SWMMP and the existing guiding principles.
• Gaining insights from the community on the effectiveness of current waste programs, services, and facilities, including their successes and areas for improvement.

Members of the public, Indigenous communities, agencies, and other interested and involved participants can contribute to the development of the 2025 SWMMP by participating in this first Open House.
