Linc Maintenance Weekend Rescheduled June 13 to 16

Annual general maintenance and asphalt repairs on the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway scheduled for this weekend (May 30  to June 2, 2025) is being rescheduled to June 13 to June 16, 2025.

The revised date was coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario’s (MTO) ongoing maintenance work on the QEW Niagara-bound at the Burlington Skyway, which will occur over many weekends. Adjusting the timing of the LINC repairs ensures the two major routes are not affected at the same time. 

Rescheduled dates and impacts:

• Eastbound: Golf Links Road to the Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway off-ramp
  • Friday, June 13 at 8 am until Monday, June 16 at 5 am
• Westbound: Red Hill Valley Parkway to Mohawk Road
  • Friday, June 13 at 10 am until Monday, June 16 at 5 am

Detours will be in place via Mohawk Road and Stone Church Road.

Work dates are weather-dependent.

This annual maintenance supports the City’s ongoing efforts to keep roads safe and traffic moving efficiently. Planned work includes:

Impacts to HSR customers
The following routes will be impacted by LINC Maintenance:

• Minor Impacts Routes 5 (Meadowlands), 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34 and 35
• Moderate impacts Routes 11, 16 and 21
• Major Impacts Routes 41, 43 and 44.

Extra buses will added to each route to minimize impacts during this time. Please visit https://www.hamilton.ca/schedules-detours for more information on HSR service disruptions.

Residents are encouraged to plan ahead, use alternate routes during this time, and expect delays and increased traffic on surrounding roads. Motorists are reminded to follow posted detour signs and take extra caution in construction zones.
