The City initiated the Municipal Class EA process to develop and assess design alternatives that address transportation issues along Mohawk Road from McNiven Road to Highway 403.

The City initiated a Municipal Class EA study to determine the feasibility of a westbound access ramp to Highway 403 in Ancaster in 2013.

As part of the Ancaster Transportation Master Plan (ATMP), City Council direction was to pursue the westbound ramp access to Highway 403 from Mohawk Road in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation (MTO).

The City initiated a Municipal Class EA study in 2017 to determine the preferred location for a new septage waste haulage receiving station (SWHRS). A number of areas were evaluated as part of the study.

The City has completed a Municipal Class EA for improvements to Southcote Road from Garner Road to Golf Links Road.

Development planning has advanced since 2013 in the southeast quadrant of the interchange, and design for the municipal road identified as Street C in the Preferred Alternative for the Associated Municipal Roads has advanced to completion of detail design.

The City has completed a Class EA for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000) process for improvements to Street C in the preferred alternative.

The City has initiated the Municipal Class EA process for the extensions of Twenty Road East & Upper Red Hill Valley Parkway.
