WE HBA supports long-term planning to ensure the necessary supply of housing of all types and tenures ranging from low-rise, missing middle, midrise, ADUs and highrise. This includes policies to enable and support an Urban Boundary Expansion to ensure long-range planning and infrastructure is in place to accommodate growth. This also includes policies to enable the intensification of existing neighbourhoods to allow for more housing opportunities (often referred to as missing middle) including ADUs and flexible zoning permissions. This also includes high density housing opportunities downtown, in nodes and corridors and in MTSAs. WE HBA will be involved in a broad range of public policy discussion in support of public policies enabling more housing choices and opportunities.
