As CEO of Wesley, my lobbying activity focuses on advocating for equitable, accessible, and sustainable supports for vulnerable populations in the City of Hamilton. This includes engaging with municipal staff, councillors, and other public office holders to influence policy and funding decisions related to housing, homelessness prevention, refugee resettlement, and wraparound services for children, youth, and families. I work to highlight the systemic barriers faced by these communities and to advance collaborative, community-based solutions, including transitional housing, mental health supports, family stability initiatives, and culturally appropriate services for newcomers.
