WE HBA is supportive of investments into affordable housing and opportunities for the private sector to partner with all levels of government including the City of Hamilton. WE HBA intends to advocate for partnerships including utilization of surplus & under utilized lands and/or financial/planning incentives. WE HBA intends to participate in any consultations related to inclusionary zoning on the LRT corridor. Any such initiative must not result in cross subsidization, must be economically viable and be structured in a partnership model.
Meeting and communicating with Council on all matters related to affordable housing and the various policies that interact and affect broad based housing affordability including green development policy, inclusionary zoning, and design and construction standards.
