Bike Month is a chance to connect with Hamilton's cycling community, try something new, and celebrate getting around by bike. It's welcoming, fun, and there's something for everyone!
Don’t own a bike? Try Hamilton Bike Share. There are various memberships plans, including ‘pay as you go.’
Highlights include:
Bike Day – Wednesday, May 27, 2026 - 7:30–9:30am at City Hall Forecourt
Celebrate the 18th Annual Bike Day! This drop-in style event will include free refreshments, t-shirts (while supplies last), bike tune-ups by New Hope Community Bikes, and community partner booths. Guided rides to City Hall led by Cycle Hamilton and Hamilton Bike Share. Drop by and join in on the fun!
Bike to Forge – Sunday, May 31, 2026 - 4 pm kickoff at Hamilton Stadium
Ride to the Forge FC soccer match with guided rides, free bike valet, discounted tickets, and family fun! Skip the traffic, enjoy the game, and celebrate cycling in the city!
Bike to School Week – June 1-5, 2026
Schools are encouraged to take part in Bike to School Week by hosting wheel-friendly activities and promoting safe routes to school. Families and staff are also encouraged to get involved! Register your school and remember to always wear a helmet!
Open Streets Hamilton – Sunday, June 7, 10 am to 4 pm
Enjoy a car-free King Street East from John St. to Gage Ave. Open Streets is a one-day transformation of King Street into a vibrant space for walking, biking, rolling, and community fun. Make the Streets Your Playground.
