Lane restrictions along Longwood Rd S beginning this week

HAMILTON, ON – To safely complete bridge rehabilitation work, the City of Hamilton has reduced Longwood Rd S to two lanes between Main St W and Frid St. Work began this week and is expected to take approximately three months.

The work is expected to wrap up by September 1, 2022, weather permitting.

The scope of work includes:

• Bridge repairs and improvements
• Sidewalk, concrete column and abutment wall repairs
• Bridge approach improvements
• Guiderail end treatments at the northwest, southwest and southeast corners of the bridge

Motorists and HSR passengers may experience minor delays during this time.
