Tax Scam Alert

The City of Hamilton is aware of a fraudulent email address, [email protected], being used to impersonate City property tax communications. This email address is not associated with the City of Hamilton. If you are enrolled in eBilling, your property tax eBills are sent from [email protected].

Official City of Hamilton emails come from @hamilton.ca email addresses.

Property tax eBills were emailed on May 22 and 23 and include two attachments:

• eBill (opened using your access code)
• tax brochure

The City will never request payments, deposits, banking information, passwords, verification codes or other sensitive information by email.
