National Housing Day
National Housing Day, officially recognized by the Federal Government of Canada in 2000, is a day to recognize the ongoing efforts to improve access to safe and affordable housing across the country. This day highlights both the achievements and the challenges that remain in addressing housing issues.
In Hamilton, we celebrate National Housing Day by recognizing the efforts of the City, housing partners, and the community in addressing homelessness and housing issues.
This year's National Housing Day event will focus on the theme of The latest in Safe and Affordable Housing recognizing the efforts of the City, housing partners and the community in addressing homelessness and housing issues in Hamilton.
Attendees will hear from key representatives of the City of Hamilton and housing partners, who will speak about ongoing efforts to address housing challenges.
Following the presentations, there will be an opportunity to network with community partners and service providers, with refreshments to foster connections and collaboration.
