List of current & upcoming park closures

All work is weather dependent

Note: Some areas of the park may be fenced off or restricted by construction access and equipment during weekday daytime hours.

Upper Redhill Park

Starting April 24, 2023
Portion of the park space is closed to accommodate grading and drainage improvements. The majority of the park including the multi use court, sun shelter and play area will be will remain open during this closure.

Pier 4 Park - Tugboat Play Structure

October 2, 2023 to Fall 2025
The tugboat playground is closed to undertake structural assessments to inform the design for improvements to the tugboat, new playground and new spray pad planned for 2025.

Pier 4 Park Winter Washroom

March 4, 2025 until further notice
The Pier 4 Winter Washroom has been vandalized and will remain closed until repairs are completed. There is a portable washroom at nearby Bayfront Park for public use.

Victoria Park - Tennis Courts

Tuesday, November 4, 2025 to May 24, 2026
The tennis courts will be closed to facilitate the removal and replacement of the tennis courts and lighting. All other sections of the Park will remain open and accessible during construction including the parking lot, open space, playground and access to
pathways through the site. During this work, some areas of the Park may be temporarily fenced off or restricted by construction access and equipment during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.

Optimist Park Playground

Monday, November 10 to Monday, December 15, 2025
The playground will be closed to facilitate the removal and replacement of the playground. All other sections of the Park will remain open and accessible during construction including the parking lot, open space, and access to adjacent schools. During this work, some areas of the Park may be temporarily fenced off or restricted by construction access and equipment during daytime hours, Monday to Friday.
