Starting Sunday, August 31, 2025, we’re making it easier to get where you need to go — with more buses, more often. These changes will make a real difference for communities across Hamilton.

Bus Stop Changes
Effective August 31, 2025, these bus stop changes will be in effect. Watch for signs posted at the affected stops.
Route 33 Sanatorium
Changes from Sanatorium Road to Scenic Drive, in both directions.
Stops out-of-service (northbound)
- Sanatorium at Scenic West
- Sanatorium at Scenic East
New stop (northbound)
- Scenic at San Paulo Walkway
- Scenic at San Pedro
- Sanatorium at Redfern
Stops out-of-service (southbound)
- Sanatorium at Scenic West
New stop (southbound)
- Scenic opposite San Paulo Walkway
Route 43 Stone Church
Stop on Stone Church at Chesley is moving to the Southwest Corner
Watch for signs posted at the affected stops.

Downtown Hamilton - King Street from John Street to James Street and James Street from King Street to Robert Street.

Detour of Route 44 - Rymal for Garner Road Construction
Due to construction on Garner Road, from Southcote Road to Glancaster Road, Route 44 Rymal will be on detour starting Friday, August 29, 2025, at 12pm until further notice.
WESTBOUND (To Tradewind & Cormorant) - No detour required
EASTBOUND (To Eastgate Square) - From Garner Road at Southcote Road
Right on Southcote Road
Left on Book Road
Left on Glancaster Road
Right on Garner Road
resume regular eastbound routing.
Closed Eastbound Stops
Stops Between Southcote and Glancaster Eastbound are out of service.
Previously closed stops between Fiddlers Green and Panabaker are back in service.

Service will temporarily resume from Sunday, August 24 to Saturday, August 30 to support McMaster University’s orientation week:

Route 55 - Stoney Creek Central
Travels east - west from Eastgate Terminal Platform #2 to Jones and HWY #8. Route 55A eastbound buses service the Levi Loop and start out at Eastgate Platform #2. On weekdays some trips on this route are interlined with Route 10 - B Line Express. On Sundays, some trips on this route are interlined with Route 58 - Stoney Creek Local. Stoney Creek Trans-Cab Service operates Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays as an extension of Routes 55 and 55A when in service.
