Both an east-west and a north-south route servicing the south-west end of the city from then downtown. This route is interlined with 6 Aberdeen and 7 Locke.

Detour of Route 8 - York for sewer repair
Route 8 York will be on detour from Wednesday, April 30 to Thursday, May 1 5:00am Thursday, May 1, 2025, due to Sewer Repair on 63 Dundurn Street from Lamoreaux Street to Sunset Avenue.
The following stops will be Out of Service:
- Dundurn at Sunset
- Strathcona Loop
Detour Details:
Route 8 – York
- Westbound from Downtown From Dundurn Street and Florence Street - Left on Florence Street, Left on Strathcona Avenue to Temporary Recovery Point at 120 Strathcona Avenue, North of Florence Street.
- Eastbound from Downtown From Temporary Recovery Point at 120 Strathcona Avenue north of Florence Street, Continue North on Strathcona Avenue and resume regular Eastbound routing.

An east-west route traveling from University Plaza in the west end to Eastgate Square in the east end. This route is interlined with 55 Stoney Creek Central and 58 Stoney Creek Local.

Detour of Route 10 B–Line Express for construction
Due to construction, University Plaza in Dundas is closed and Route 10 B-Line will be on detour from approximately 6 am on Thursday, April 24, until approximately 6am on Friday, April 25, 2025

Routes 10 B–Line Express
Westbound From Downtown Hamilton
- From Osler Drive and the entrance to University Plaza, continue west/north on Osler Drive, Left on South Street W, Right on Ogilvie Street, Right on Governors Road, Right on
- Osler Drive to Temporary Recovery Point on Osler Drive at University Plaza.
Eastbound to Downtown Hamilton
- From Temporary Recovery Point on Osler Drive at University Plaza, continue south/east on Osler Drive and resume regular routing.
