Bus News Winter 2026
Starting Sunday, December 28, 2025, we’re making small schedule changes on several routes to make sure you get where you need to go, on time. These changes will make a real difference for communities across Hamilton.

Bus Stop Changes
Effective Sunday, December 28, these bus stop changes will be in effect. Watch for signs posted at the affected stops.
Route 4 Bayfront
Route now travels York St. to James St. N instead of traveling down Murray St. to head Northbound.
Route 8 York
Changes to the stops along York St.
Route 44 Rymal
The 44 Rymal we be using Platform 5 at the Confederation GO station.
Stoney Creek Industrial
This is an a.m. / p.m. service to support the Stoney Creek Industrial area.

Route 35 - College
Travels north - south from downtown Hamilton at the MacNab Terminal Platform #6 to St. Elizabeth Village. Glanbrook Trans-Cab Service operates Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays as an extension of Route 35 when in service.

Travels both east - west and north - south from downtown Hamilton at Gage/ Industrial to the Meadowlands Terminal.

Provides service between Lime Ridge Mall and Mohawk 4 Ice Centre.

Route 43 - Stone Church
Travels east - west from Highland at Saltfleet School to the Meadowlands Terminal. This route interligns with Route 16 - Ancaster.

Detour of Route 44 - Rymal due to Garner Rd Construction
Due to construction on Garner Road between Glancaster Road and Southcote Road, Route 44 Rymal will be on detour.
- Eastbound – From Garner Road at Southcote Road, turn right on Southcote Road, left on Book Road, left on Glancaster Road, right on Rymal Road, then resume regular eastbound routing.
- Westbound – From Glancaster Road and Garner Road, turn left on Glancaster Road, right on Book Road, right on Southcote Road, left on Garner Road, then resume regular westbound routing.

Travels east - west from Stoney Creek Walmart to Ancaster Business Park via Eastgate Square. Trans-Cab Service operates Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays as an extension of Route 44 when in service.

Travels north - south from Orchard/ Pleasant to York/ Watson's Lane Loop.

Detour of Route 52 - Dundas Local for Pleasant Avenue Construction
Due to construction on Pleasant Avenue between Old Ancaster Road and Autumn Leaf Road, Route 52 Dundas Local will be on detour.
Detour Details
Inbound to Orchard Ave. and Pleasant Ave.:
- From Old Ancaster Road and Pleasant Avenue, continue on Old Ancaster Road
- continue on Turnbull Road
- Right on Autumn Leaf Road
- Left on Pleasant Avenue
- resume regular inbound routing
Outbound to Watson Lane Loop:
- No detour required.

Route 55 - Stoney Creek Central
Travels east - west from Eastgate Terminal Platform #2 to Jones and HWY #8. Route 55A eastbound buses service the Levi Loop and start out at Eastgate Platform #2. On weekdays some trips on this route are interlined with Route 10 - B Line Express. On Sundays, some trips on this route are interlined with Route 58 - Stoney Creek Local. Stoney Creek Trans-Cab Service operates Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays as an extension of Routes 55 and 55A when in service.
