Bus News Winter 2026
Starting Sunday, December 28, 2025, we’re making small schedule changes on several routes to make sure you get where you need to go, on time. These changes will make a real difference for communities across Hamilton.

Bus Stop Changes
Effective Sunday, December 28, these bus stop changes will be in effect. Watch for signs posted at the affected stops.
Route 4 Bayfront
Route now travels York St. to James St. N instead of traveling down Murray St. to head Northbound.
Route 8 York
Changes to the stops along York St.
Route 44 Rymal
The 44 Rymal we be using Platform 5 at the Confederation GO station.
Stoney Creek Industrial
This is an a.m. / p.m. service to support the Stoney Creek Industrial area.

Serves east - west lower Hamilton including Dundas, Ancaster and Stoney Creek.

Route 6 - Aberdeen
Both an east-west and a north-south route servicing the south-west end of the city from then downtown. This route is interlined with 7 Locke and 8 York.

Detour on Route 6 - Aberdeen due to construction
As a result of the construction on March 3, Route 8 will be on detour.

ROUTE 6 ABERDEEN Westbound– From Charlton Avenue West and Queen Street South Continuing West on Charlton Avenue West
- Left on Locke Street South
- Left on Herkimer Street
- Right on Queen Street South and resume regular routing.
ROUTE 6 ABERDEEN Eastbound – Regular routing.

Route 7 - Locke
Both an east-west and a north-south route servicing the south-west end of the city from then downtown. This route is interlined with 6 Aberdeen and 8 York.

Route 8 - York
Both an east-west and a north-south route servicing the south-west end of the city from then downtown. This route is interlined with 6 Aberdeen and 7 Locke.

Delay Notice: Route 8 - York for lane closure
A special event will take place along Cannon Street and York Boulevard on Sunday, March 22, 2026. As a result, a rolling lane closure will be in effect.
The Group Dos Romeiros procession will move along the sidewalks and use one westbound lane between Bay Street and Dundurn Street.
Route 8 York will continue to operate; however, minor delays may occur as the procession moves through the area.

Route 9 - Rock Gardens
Operates from James and Main to Rock Gardens, Woodland Cemetery and Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Along most of the Rock Gardens route, buses will stop only at designated bus stops. In Woodland and Holy Sepulchre Cemeteries, however, the bus will stop anywhere on request. Simply flag the bus driver so he/she knows to stop. The "flag zones" are indicated on the map.

Route 10 - B Line Express
An east-west route traveling from University Plaza in the west end to Eastgate Square in the east end. This route is interlined with 55 Stoney Creek Central and 58 Stoney Creek Local.

Route 11 - Parkdale
Travels the furthest north of all HSR routes, looping at the Burlington Bus Terminal. This route also travels along an expressway.

Detour of Route 11 - Parkdale for Burlington Chilly Half Marathon
Due to road closures for the Burlington Chilly Half Marathon on Lakeshore Road between Maple Avenue and Burloak Drive, Route 11 Parkdale will be on detour.
Detour Details: Route 11 Parkdale – Northbound
From Eastport Drive at Lakeshore Road the bus will,
- Continue north on Eastport Drive
- Keep left onto the North Shore Boulevard exit
- Turn right on North Shore Boulevard
- Continue east to the temporary end of line just east of the Burlington Transit stop in front of Joseph Brant Hospital
Detour Details: Route 11 Parkdale – Southbound
From the temporary end of line on North Shore Boulevard the bus will,
- Continue east on North Shore Boulevard
- Turn right on Lakeshore Road
- Resume regular routing toward Hamilton

Runs on a clockwise loop using Wentworth, Stinson, Victoria and Burlington Streets.
