Bus News Winter 2026
Starting Sunday, December 28, 2025, we’re making small schedule changes on several routes to make sure you get where you need to go, on time. These changes will make a real difference for communities across Hamilton.

Bus Stop Changes
Effective Sunday, December 28, these bus stop changes will be in effect. Watch for signs posted at the affected stops.
Route 4 Bayfront
Route now travels York St. to James St. N instead of traveling down Murray St. to head Northbound.
Route 8 York
Changes to the stops along York St.
Route 44 Rymal
The 44 Rymal we be using Platform 5 at the Confederation GO station.
Stoney Creek Industrial
This is an a.m. / p.m. service to support the Stoney Creek Industrial area.

Both an east-west and a north-south route servicing the south-west end of the city from then downtown. This route is interlined with 7 Locke and 8 York.

Both an east-west and a north-south route servicing the south-west end of the city from then downtown. This route is interlined with 6 Aberdeen and 7 Locke.
Operates from James and Main to Rock Gardens, Woodland Cemetery and Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Along most of the Rock Gardens route, buses will stop only at designated bus stops. In Woodland and Holy Sepulchre Cemeteries, however, the bus will stop anywhere on request. Simply flag the bus driver so he/she knows to stop. The "flag zones" are indicated on the map.
An east-west route traveling from University Plaza in the west end to Eastgate Square in the east end. This route is interlined with 55 Stoney Creek Central and 58 Stoney Creek Local.
Travels the furthest north of all HSR routes, looping at the Burlington Bus Terminal. This route also travels along an expressway.
Runs on a clockwise loop using Wentworth, Stinson, Victoria and Burlington Streets.
Travels between Meadowlands Transit Terminal and the shopping complex at Wilson and Garner. This route is interlined with 43 - Stone Church.
A new fixed-route service, route will connect Waterdown to Aldershot GO Station and Burlington Transit at Plains Road. Route 18 will operate at a 30-minute frequency.
Route 18 Waterdown Mountaineer will detour as it travels to and from the Flamborough South Centre, August 31 until further notice.
Northbound to Flamborough South Centre (travelling to Walmart)
- turning right on Dundas Street East
- left on Leavitt Boulevard
- left into Flamborough South Centre
- right on the first internal road
- proceed around Staples, and stop at stop #1879 at Walmart.
Southbound to Aldershot GO (from stop #1879 at Walmart)
- turn left at from the stop
- right on the first internal road
- left on the next internal road
- right on Leavitt Boulevard
- right on Dundas Street East
- left on Clappison Avenue where it will continue regular route.
Transit staff and property manager are working on an access agreement to allow HSR bus travel through the lot.
