Starting Sunday, August 31, 2025, we’re making it easier to get where you need to go — with more buses, more often. These changes will make a real difference for communities across Hamilton.

Bus Stop Changes
Effective August 31, 2025, these bus stop changes will be in effect. Watch for signs posted at the affected stops.
Route 33 Sanatorium
Changes from Sanatorium Road to Scenic Drive, in both directions.
Stops out-of-service (northbound)
- Sanatorium at Scenic West
- Sanatorium at Scenic East
New stop (northbound)
- Scenic at San Paulo Walkway
- Scenic at San Pedro
- Sanatorium at Redfern
Stops out-of-service (southbound)

Route 43 Stone Church
Stop on Stone Church at Chesley is moving to the Southwest Corner

Detour of Routes 4 - Bayfront and 6 - Aberdeen for Boxing Day Runs
On Friday, December 26, 2025, Route 4 - Bayfront and 6 - Aberdeen will be on detour from 12 pm until 2:30 pm due to the Boxing Day Runs event.
Detour details, including a list of out of service stops, temporary stops, and detour maps, can be found below.
Detour Details
Route 4 Bayfront (Eastbound only) – Buses will detour as follows:
- From MacNab Street and Murray Street, the bus will proceed north on MacNab Street
- turning right on Strachan Street
- left on James Street and resume regular routing.
Route 6 Aberdeen – Buses will detour as follows:
- Eastbound: From Macklin Street north of King Street (the MACKLIN at GLEN bus stop), the bus will turn right on King Street and resume regular routing.
- Westbound: From Longwood Road at Glen Road, the bus will turn right on Glen Road, and turn right on Macklin Street north of King Street (the MACKLIN at GLEN bus stop).

Detour of Route 8 - York Westbound for Special Event
On weekdays from Thursday, November 27, 2025 through Friday, December 5, 2025, Route 8 York Westbound will be on detour daily from 8:30 am until 3:20 pm due to a Special Event on Lamoreaux Street.

Route 8 York Westbound
Buses will detour as follows:
- From Dundurn Street at Lamoreaux, continue south on Dundurn Street
- turn left at Head Street
- turn left at Strahcona
- resume regular Westbound routing north of Lamoreaux

Route 9 - ROCK GARDENS
Operates from James and Main to Rock Gardens, Woodland Cemetery and Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Along most of the Rock Gardens route, buses will stop only at designated bus stops. In Woodland and Holy Sepulchre Cemeteries, however, the bus will stop anywhere on request. Simply flag the bus driver so he/she knows to stop. The "flag zones" are indicated on the map.
Service resumes Sundays and Holidays schedule effective Sunday, May 11, 2025.
