Join the City of Hamilton in celebrating National Public Works Week with a FREE “Touch-A-Truck” event at Pier 8, Saturday, May 23 from 9 am to 1 pm.
This year’s event will allow residents of all-ages to literally ‘touch-a-truck’, including snowplows, Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) buses, street sweepers, hydro excavation trucks, litter vacuums, a loader truck and a line painter truck.
Beyond the vehicles, Touch-a-Truck features fun activities and giveaways for kids, such as a traffic light demonstration, animal encounters, paint-a-snowplow-blade, face painting and a live DJ.
National Public Works Week (May 17 to 23) is a celebration of the City’s dedicated Public Works staff, whose work is “Rooted in Service and Powered by Community”. Each day, they help bring vital services in Hamilton to life, from public transit and road construction to safe drinking water, stormwater systems, clean parks and so much more.
