Notice of Public Meeting - Recommended Policy Framework & Secondary Plan Guidelines for Urban Expansion Areas
On July 11, 2023, Planning staff will be presenting the recommended Policy Framework and Secondary Planning Guidelines for Urban Expansion Areas at a Public Meeting of the City of Hamilton’s Planning Committee. The purpose of the Policy Framework and Secondary Planning Guidelines is to guide the preparation of Secondary Plans for the six Urban Expansion Areas that were recently added to the Hamilton Urban Area.

Where: Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, City Hall
The City of Hamilton is now conducting meetings in a hybrid format via an in-person and Webex platform. All Hybrid Meetings can be viewed at: www.hamilton.ca/MeetingAgendas
The proposed Urban Hamilton Official Plan Amendment and information and material related to it, including the staff report, will be available to the public on or after July 5, 2023 and may be obtained from the City’s website at www.hamilton.ca/MeetingAgendas or from Mark Kehler at [email protected].
Provide Comments or Register as a Delegation
You may submit written comments to the Legislative Coordinator, Planning Committee, City of Hamilton, 71 Main Street West, 1st Floor, Hamilton, Ontario, L8P 4Y5 or by email to [email protected]. Comments must be received by noon Monday, July 10, 2023. You may also submit a pre-recorded video with your comments. Video Submissions are due by noon 2 business days before the meeting.
Oral submissions may also be given by pre-registering with the Clerk’s office. To register, members of the public must submit a Request to Speak Form. Interested members of the public must register by noon Monday, July 10, 2023.
