Passing of By-law to Designate Melville-Park West Heritage Conservation District
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the City of Hamilton passed By-law Number 26-090 on May 13th, 2026, pursuant to Part V, Sections 41(1) and 41.1(1) of the Ontario Heritage Act.
The purpose and effect of By-law Number 26-090 is to designate the Melville-Park West Heritage Conservation District located in the community of Dundas in the City of Hamilton, and to adopt the Melville-Park West Heritage Conservation District Plan.
A copy of the By-law and the Heritage Conservation District Plan can be found at www.hamilton.ca/MelvilleHCD. Both documents are also available for review at City Hall during regular business hours.
Written notice of objection
Any person who objects to the By-law may, within thirty days after the date of publication of the Notice of Passing of the By-laws, appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal by giving the Tribunal and the Clerk of the municipality a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-law(s) and the reasons in support of the objection(s), accompanied by the fee charged by the Tribunal, in accordance with Section 41(4) of the Ontario Heritage Act.
