Schedules & Detours

The Route 5 - DELAWARE will be on detour due to the Construction from Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 7 am until Friday, November 29, 2024 at 6 pm. 

Westbound to Head Street – From Ogilvie Street & Governors Road, Continue north on Ogilvie Street, Right on Hatt Street, Right on Main Street, Left on Dundas Street and resume regular westbound routing on Dundas Street east of Main Street.   

Temporary Stop Locations: Due to the detour, the bus stop “Governors Road at Main Street” will be out of service. Please use the bus stop at “Ogilvie St. and Governors Rd

Westbound – from Hunter St. at Queen St.; left on Queen St., right on Aberdeen Ave., left on Dundurn St., and resume regular routing on Dundurn St. south of Aberdeen Ave. 

Eastbound – from Dundurn St. at Chatham St.; continue north on Dundurn St., right on Main St., and resume regular routing on Main St. east of Locke St. 

Temporary stops: Regular stops along Queen St., Aberdeen Ave. (Westbound) and Main St. (Eastbound)

Route 11 Parkdale will be on detour during the emergency maintenance of the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge on September 5. The detour will be in place from 9 am to 3 pm. Detour details, including detour maps and a list of closed stops, can be found below. 

Northbound to Burlington: From Beach Boulevard and Eastport Drive (after servicing Beach Boulevard), left on Eastport Drive, left on Beach Boulevard, left on QEW/Burlington Skyway on-ramp opposite Van Wagner’s Beach Road, exit QEW at Highway 2/North Shore Boulevard, left at North Shore Boulevard, right on QEW Niagara/Eastport Drive, continue south on Eastport Drive.

• For trips servicing the Canada Centre for Inland Waters (CCIW), the bus will turn right at CCIW main entrance roadway and resume regular routing. 
• For trips not servicing CCIW, the bus will turn left at CCIW main entrance roadway and resume regular routing. 

Southbound to Hamilton: From Lakeshore Road and Eastport Drive.

• For trips leaving CCIW, the bus will turn left on Eastport Drive and continue on the detour as described below.
• For trips not leaving CCIW, the bus will turn right on Eastport Drive and continue on the detour as described below. 

Follow signs to North Shore Boulevard, left on North Shore Boulevard, right on QEW Niagara/Eastport Drive, continue south on QEW/Burlington Skyway, exit at Woodward Avenue off-ramp, right on Woodward Avenue, continue north on Eastport Drive, right on Beach Boulevard (north intersection) and resume regular routing.

Routes 2 Barton, 3 Cannon, 4 Bayfront, 6 Aberdeen, 7 Locke, 8 York, 9 Rock Gardens, and 20 A-Line will be delayed and on detour during Supercrawl from Thursday, September 12 at 1:30 am to Monday, September 16, 2024, at 5 am. Detour details, including road closures, detour maps, and a list of

Route 2 - Barton Westbound: 

• From Barton Street and Catharine Street, left on Catharine Street, right on King Street, left into Frank A. Cooke Terminal East Roadway, left on Main Street, right on James Street, then resume regular routing.

Route 3 - Cannon Westbound: 

• From Cannon Street and Catharine Street, left on Catharine Street, right on King Street, left into the Frank A. Cooke East Terminal East Roadway, left on Main Street, right on James Street, then resume regular routing.

Route 4 - Bayfront Westbound: 

• From James Street and Strachan Street, left on Strachan Street, right on John Street, left on Barton Street, right on Catharine Street, right on King Street, left on James Street and resume regular routing on James Street south of King Street. Eastbound: From Bay Street and York Boulevard, continue north on Bay Street, right on Vine Street, left on MacNab Street, right on Strachan, left on James Street and resume regular routing on James Street north of Strachan Street.

Route 6 - Aberdeen Eastbound: 

• From John Street and King Street, left on King Street, left on James Street to Temporary Endof-line on James Street at Main Street. 

Route 7 - Locke Eastbound: 

• From Main Street and Bay Street, continue on Main Street, left on John Street, left on King Street, left on James Street, then resume regular routing. 

Route 8 - York Eastbound: 

• From York Boulevard and Queen Street, right on Queen Street, left on Main Street, left on John Street, left on King Street, left on James Street, to Temporary End-of-line on James Street at Main Street.

 Route 9 - Rock Gardens Southbound: 

• From York Boulevard and Queen Street, right on Queen Street, left on Main Street, left on John Street, left on King Street, left on James Street, to Route 9 – Rock Gardens recovery point on James Street opposite King Street (South Branch) (Midblock).

Route 20 - A-Line Northbound:

•  From James Street and Main Street, right on Main Street, left on John Street, left on Strachan Street, right on James Street and resume regular routing on James Street north of Strachan Street. Southbound: From James Street and Strachan Street, left on Strachan Street, right on John Street, left on Barton Street, right on Catharine Street, right on King Street, left on James Street and resume regular routing on James Street south of King Street.

Southbound (To St. Elizabeth Village via Garth)

• For trips that will return to downtown via Garth
• From Garth and Rymal - Right on Rymal, Left on Glancaster, Right into Glancaster Loop to Temporary End-of-Line at Glancaster Loop.

Northbound (To Downtown via Garth)

• From Temporary End-of-Line at Glancaster Loop - Left on Glancaster,
• Right on Rymal, Left on Garth and resume regular inbound routing on Garth north of Rymal.

Southbound (To St. Elizabeth Village via Garth)

• For trips that will return to downtown via Rymal & Upper James
• From Garth and Stone Church - Continue (south) on Garth to Temporary End-of-Line on Garth north of Rymal (Facing Southbound)

Northbound (To Downtown via Rymal & Upper James)

• From Temporary End-of-Line on Garth at Rymal - Continue (south) on
• Garth, Left on Rymal & resume regular inbound routing on Rymal east of Garth.

Route 44 RYMAL is on detour due to construction on Garner Road, between Shaver Road and Hamilton Drive, from September 9 to October 11, 2024. During the detour a shuttle will provide service to Bishop Tonnos. Detour details and shuttle information can be found below.

Route 44 RYMAL Detour 

WESTBOUND (To Tradewind & Cormorant) 

• From Garner Road and Fiddlers Green Road, Right on Fiddlers Green Road, left on Amberly Blvd, left on Wilson Street, left on Shaver Road, right on Garner Road and resume regular routing. 

EASTBOUND (To Eastgate Square)

• From Garner Road and Shaver Road – left on Shaver Road, right on Wilson Street, right on Amberly Blvd, right on Fiddlers Green Road, left on Book Road, left on Glancaster Road, right on Garner Road and resume regular routing. 
• All stops on Garner Road, between Shaver Road and Hamilton Drive are out of service. 
• Please note that the westbound Route 44 Bus Stop on Garner at Southcote has been moved 2 poles east due to construction. 

Bishop Tonnos Shuttle

The Bishop Tonnos Shuttle will operate weekdays, from September 9 to October 11, 2024 from approximately 7:30 AM until 3:15 PM. 

ROUTE: 

• From Garner Road and Fiddlers Green, continue west on Garner Road, right on Panabaker Drive to the roundabout and circle around and head back southbound on Panabaker Drive, left on Garner Road, left on Fiddlers Green, right on Garden Avenue, right on Anson Road, right on Garner Road to Garner Road, east of Fiddlers Green
